GNU Free Documentation License I have difficulty to understand when reading articles journals and books. Can anyone tell me how? Q. I really need to understand when reading academic journals and books. I always have difficulty to grasp the issue, messages, main points, ideas, etc from the authors. Typically, you should read it and highlight important parts as you go along. This lets you easily go back to them. Or, take it one step at a time. Read a paragraph. Stop. Reflect on it.
